One of the most prominent sites in the area is the Victorian pleasure ground Crystal Palace Park. The park is used for various cultural, patriotic and sporting events throughout the year. In the park visitors can see the marvellous lifesized dinosaur and extinct animal sculptors of the great English sculptor Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins. Also at Crystal Palace Park one can see a real megatherium skull which was donated to the park by Charles Darwin. During the last years of the 19th century and the first years of the 20th century, the park hosted the football ground of the Football Club Crystal Palace, also the FA Cup finals from the period 1895 to 1914 where played at the park football ground. It was during the First World War that the football club was forced to relocate. Today at the place of the football ground stands the National Sports Centre which was built in the 60s of the past century.
Even though the area is mainly residential still some office buildings can be found. Crystal Palace can be a good place to relocate your office especially now with the upcoming Olympic Games, which the National Sports Centre will be part of. In order to relocate your office you will need to hire a moving company that offers office removals London based services. You can find such a company by reading the removal firm London section in the yellow pages.
